As part of the Institute for Creative Writing and Literary Translation, JCU Adjunct Assistant Professor of English Elizabeth Geoghegan read excerpts of her work to a full Aula Magna Regina last Friday, 31 May. Elizabeth Geoghegan was first introduced by George Minot, fellow creative writing professor, followed by Lauren Sunstein, Lecturer in English at JCU. Professor Geoghegan read from her story collection The Book of Boys, along with excerpts from her other works, including a story set in Rome and a section from her untitled novel. The Aula Magna Regina was packed with colleagues, students, both past and present, and friends who came to show their support to a wonderfully engaging and dynamic writer.
